Sportsmen from Finland, Slovakia, Estonia, Ireland, Portugal, Israel and Armenia have arrived in Baku for participation in the first European Games.
At the Heydar Aliyev airport the athletes were welcomed by representatives of the Baku 2015 European Games Operating Committee and volunteers.
Then the athletes were brought to the Athlete Village on special buses. There were delegations and journalists of these countries among the guests.
18 Armenian sportsmen arrived in Baku for participation in the European Games, though earlier it was reported that there will be 28 Armenian athletes.
Armenians will take part in the competitions in boxing, wrestling, shooting, sambo and judo.
The first European Games due to be held on June 12-28 will involve over 6000 sportsmen from 49 countries and more than 3000 official representatives of the teams.
