“Thus, the number of the ferries and RO-RO (roll-on/roll-off) vessels in operation has reached 14.
Currently, six ferries and a RO-RO vessel ply along each of the lines of the Baku-Aktau-Baku and Baku-Turkmenbashi-Baku routes,” said the message.
Depending on cargo volumes, the Company’s ships are kept in reserve or backed up, which allows cutting costs.
Taking into account the significant growth in cargo transportation volumes, Azerbaijan Shipping Company decided to use several backup ferries in December 2015.
