The application of control marks is being carried out in according with the “Rules of form, registration, use and issuance of control marks” approved by the relevant decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Copyright Agency told.
The application of control marks (holograms) will result in a significant reduction in the market of pirated intellectual property products.
The Copyright Agency has already begun issuing control marks to a number of publications which have obtained license for publishing additional copies textbooks. Among these publications are “Şərq-Qərb” OJSC, “Təhsil Nəşriyyat-Poliqrafiya” LLC, “Aspoliqraf LTD” LLC, “Altun-Kitab nəşriyyatı”, “Radius” LLC, etc.

In order to ensure the implementation of the “Law on ensuring intellectual property rights and combating piracy,” Copyright Agency has began issuing control marks for their attachment to instances of objects of copyright and related rights (audiovisual works, phonograms, computer programs, databases, books).
