An exhibition of the works of noted Russian sculptor Vadim Sidur is now on display in the Council of Europe.
The 43 piece collection, entitled ‘War and Peace,’ insured for nearly €500,000, offers a rare insight into an artist with a growing international reputation. Vadim Sidur, considered a leading representative of the Soviet Union’s unofficial art, joins the ranks of great avant-garde figures.

Many of his works appear as illustrations to articles of the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms. The exhibition is organised by the Museum and Exhibition Association Manege in Moscow, with the support of the Permanent Representation of the Russian Federation to the Council of Europe, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the country`s accession to the organisation.
