He made the remarks during an opening of the 9th session of the GUAM Parliamentary Assembly in Baku Dec. 15.
Mammadyarov noted that GUAM countries are facing similar problems.
“To strengthen relations, GUAM countries should first reinforce the sovereignty and independence and put an end to the occupation they were sentenced to,” the Azerbaijani FM said, calling for the enhancement of cooperation.
“All this will lead to the development of GUAM countries and will ensure prosperous life of their people,” he added.

The reputation of the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development – GUAM (Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Moldova) is increasing with each passing day, said Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov.
