Letter trick addressed to PACE
As previously known, a group of Civil Society activists from Azerbaijan addressed a letter to PACE (Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe) demanding to disqualify the right of the Azerbaijani delegation to vote. However, all signatories do not share the same opinions. Some signees are against sanctions, AzVision.az reports.

Some signatories did not even express their agreements. Simply, their non-response was considered as confirmation.

`I was not aware of the whole content of the letter. The English version of the letter was sent to me. Therefore, I did not have a chance to review the whole content. I did not reply. Possibly, it was accepted as confirmation. As a lawyer I work with the European Court. In this regard, it would be a negative case to disqualify the right of the Azerbaijani delegation to vote and eliminate Azerbaijan in PACE events. If PACE puts sanctions on Azerbaijan, it may influence the review of cases in the European Court,` one of the signees - lawyer, Ruslan Mustafayev told to AzVision.az.

`Firstly, the issues stated in the letter need to be investigated. If this is the case, it may influence the reputation of the country in a negative way. However, I suppose that Azerbaijan must be represented not only in PACE, but also in other bodies of Europe. We have numerous applications and interests of those who we defended. As a lawyer, I would never want the removal of Azerbaijan from PACE or any harm to the position of the country,` lawyer, Ashabali Mustafayev said.

`I do not want Azerbaijan to be treated unfairly. Therefore, issues must be investigated by PACE and Azerbaijan in terms of validity. If those people are guilty, the reputation of the country must be protected. We want Azerbaijan to implement its mission to PACE,` Mustafayev also added.
