Press Council calls on media about situation on frontline
Azerbaijani Press Council has called on the media about situation on the frontline.
AzVision.az reports that Chairman of Azerbaijan`s Press Council Aflatun Amashov stressed in his statement the importance of being sensitive on events and processes.

“However, we see that there are some people who claim that they are media outlet by intending to be popular in any form by hurrying up. These will not be accepted as media outlets in any case”, he said.

Amashov noted that regardless of positive or negative context, the enemy powers release news on their own websites or social networks which are in contradiction with Azerbaijan’s interests and damages the image of Azerbaijan: “In such cases, our media representatives should be more attentive. We saw sensitivity and attention in April war of 2016 and sure that we’ll see it again”.

The Press Council called on the media outlets to wait for statements of the Defense Ministry.
