Sixteen rescued after avalanche hit Kazakhstan
Sixteen people have been saved at the site of military drills in Kazakhstan`s southern region of Jambyl that was hit by an avalanche, the Kazakh Interior Ministry said on Friday, Sputnik reports.
"The number of survivors has increased from 10 to 16 people," Ruslan Imankulov, the ministry`s emergency situations committee spokesman, said.

Imankulov said the death toll still stands at seven people, whose bodies have been uncovered earlier in the day.
