Armenians filed a lawsuit against Ilhan Ashkin, President of the Dutch Azerbaijan-Turkey Cultural Association, Ilhan Ashkin told AzVision.az.

`Armenians sued me for using the slogan `Karabakh will be grave of Armenians` in the protest action held against the opening of a monument to the so-called `Armenian genocide` in front of the Armenian church in the city of Almelo, Netherlands in 2014`, he said.

`Approximately 24 monuments were built in memory of the so-called `Armenian Genocide` in 2014 in the Netherlands. We - Azerbaijani and Turkish organizations raised our voice of objection, held protest actions. I have participated in the very protests. Armenians always lay the blame on Turkish people for the murders they have committed in the history. I have made statements on the atrocities committed by Armenians in Azerbaijan in 1992. 1 million Azerbaijanis became refugees and IDPs as a result of the Armenian ethnic cleansing policy. Armenians use the so-called `genocide` claims to conceal their violence. Finally, if Armenia refuse to withdraw its troops from the occupied Azerbaijani territories, the war will be inevitable in the Nagorno-Karabakh. Those lands will be graveyard for Armenians. The Armenian intelligence bodies with their Dutch friends have conducted a study for two years to document my statements. And now, after two years they want to `punish` me. Over the years, none of the people participating in the very actions together with me have been subjected to such punitive measures`, he stressed.

`I am called to the Prosecution Office on Oct.4. I have to testify there. Our association has also taken necessary measures. Indeed it is a national issue. We will set forth the slogan `Karabakh will be grave of Armenians` during the trial. We have never been for death. As our president says, `if Armenians do not want to die, they have to leave our lands``, Ilhan Ashkin says.

`We do not have any expectation of anyone except moral support. Armenians have not sued only Ilhan Ashkin. I was sued for speaking on Karabakh Truths and Khojaly Genocide. I was awarded with the Progress medal by the president. I could be awarded with the Kingdom medal this year if Armenians did not claim trial fakefully `, he concluded asking for moral support.
