Voting in Azerbaijani referendum well-organized - PACE
The voting in referendum on making amendments to Azerbaijan’s Constitution is organized very well, co-rapporteur of the PACE Monitoring Committee on Azerbaijan Stefan Schennach told reporters in Baku Sept. 26.
“Many people have been queuing up to vote since the start of the referendum, and most of the voters are women”, said Schennach, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan to observe the constitutional referendum.

“We have been in the center of Baku. The voting procedure is organized very well. We are going to visit polling stations outside Baku,” he added.

PACE Monitoring Committee`s co-rapporteur on Azerbaijan Stefan Schennach monitored the polling station #4 of Sabail district constituency #29 and polling station #23 of Nasimi - Sabail district constituency #23. He reviewed the voters’ list, observed the voting procedure and asked the opinion of local observers.

The voting in referendum on making amendments to Azerbaijan’s Constitution kicked off at 08:00 am on Sept.26.

The voting will wrap up at 19:00 pm.
