`Strengthening of Azerbaijan-Turkey-Iran solidarity will be beneficial for entire region`
The stronger the Azerbaijan-Turkey-Iran solidarity becomes, the more benefits will there be for the region including the three countries, Azerbaijan’s Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs Ali Hasanov said.
He made the remarks during a meeting with the newly-appointed Turkish ambassador to Azerbaijan Erkan Ozoral.

“If Azerbaijan, Turkey and Iran display stronger solidarity, there will be a change in the approach towards the three countries,” said Hasanov.

According to him, some countries are jealous of the ties between the three countries and seeking to harm the mutual relations between these Muslim countries.

“But what we do know is that it’s impossible to put these peoples and states against one another. Our peoples and states must not allow this,” he added.

Hasanov said that the rapprochement between Turkey and Russia is of great importance for the whole region, including Azerbaijan.

The Turkish diplomat, in turn, underlined strategic partnership between Turkey and Azerbaijan that are based on brotherly relations.

He said that the Turkish people highly appreciated Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s support to the country during the July 15 coup attempt.

Ozoral said he will spare no effort to bring the fraternal relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan to a higher level.

Turkey is concerned over the continuation of the occupation of Azerbaijani lands, the ambassador said, stressing the importance of a peaceful and fair solution to the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Turkey always stands by Azerbaijan, and the two countries need to solve their problems together, he added.
