Armenian officer asks to cross into Azerbaijan – PHOTO
Norayr Georgiyevich Minosyan, an officer of the Armenian Army asked Vahan Martirosyan, a special correspondent of haqqin.az to help him in crossing into Azerbaijan a few days ago.

`I want to hold a conference on the things happen in the Armenian Armed Forces on the border`, Minasyan told.

36 years old Minosyan served as a lieutenant in the Armenian Army. He was an anti-tank platoon commander of military unit 70179 on the border with Nakhchivan. He graduated from the Military Academy and speaks in Russian and English.

Minosyan was arrested over false claims in February, 2014. He was charged for arbitrarily leaving the military unit and jailed for a year. On the other hand, he was released in 6 months as a result of the pressure by Armenian lawyers.

`The main cause of my detention is a conflict with Grigori Khachaturov, a commander of the 3rd corps of the Armenian Army. Grigori Khachaturov is the son of the former Head of staff of the Armenian Armed Forces (current presidential advisor) Yuri Khachaturov. The government has still persecuted me and my family since my release. Consequently, I fled from Armenia`, he stated.

Currently, the Armenian officer is in Sochi and asks Azerbaijani government to allow crossing into Azerbaijan.

Minosyan sent his documents and photos to Vahan Martirosyan asking to shed light on his problem and prevent any possible provocation by Armenian government. Minosyan worries about his and his family`s safety. His family members are still in Yerevan. He asks the Azerbaijani side to help him.
