Set across two floors of a sleek building conceived by Baku-based artist Altay Sadigzadeh, the city’s Museum of Modern Art is home to a wealth of contemporary works by Azerbaijani artists, as well as a smattering of European masters including Dali and Picasso.
Opened in 2009, the art spills on to the pavement outside, making it almost impossible to walk past without being lured in off the street for an eyeful of local talents like Rasim Babayev, Nadir Kasimov and Aga Ousseinov.
