At the invitation of the Mediation Council, Doctor of International Law, Professor Aslan Abashidze was received at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Receiving the guest, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Samir Sharifov, noted the work and achievements of the Ministry in the field of foreign policy and international cooperation under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev.
Professor Aslan Abashidze conveyed his profound appreciation for the warm welcome. He then remarked that Azerbaijan's foreign policy, under President Ilham Aliyev's stewardship, garners significant attention from experts and scholars specializing in international relations and international law. He further added that this policy is being examined and taught as a noteworthy chapter in international relations.
The guest was accompanied by Nadir Adilov, Chairman of the Board of the Mediation Council, who holds a Doctorate in Philosophy in Law, serves as an Associate Professor, and is a Member of the UN Committee on Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights.
It is noteworthy that Aslan Huseynovich Abashidze enjoys considerable recognition within the international legal community.
A legal scholar visiting our country for the first time, Professor Aslan Abashidze consistently exhibits a friendly disposition towards Azerbaijan. He is esteemed as one of the eminent experts in international law, demonstrating a particular affinity towards President Ilham Aliyev and the Azerbaijani people.
Aslan Abashidze holds the position of Head of the Department of International Law at the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, and serves as a professor at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia. Additionally, he is a member of the UN Committee on Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights. Dr. Abashidze's contributions extend to his membership in the Legal Expert Council of the Higher Attestation Commission under the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia, the Scientific Advisory Council under the Supreme Court, the Scientific Advisory Council under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Expert Council under the Commissioner for Human Rights. Moreover, he holds the distinction of being an Honored Lawyer of the Russian Federation and is registered as a professor in the Federal Register of Experts, recognized for his expertise in scientific and technical fields.
