Missile fired from Gaza hit southern Israeli city – IDF
A missile fired from inside the Gaza Strip has hit “an open area” in the southern Israeli city of Ashkelon, the Israeli military said early on Saturday, adding that no one had been injured and the vicinity is being searched for the projectile.
Haaretz had reported earlier that the attack triggered rocket warning sirens along the Gaza border. The incident comes just a day after Israel’s Arrow missile defense system intercepted an anti-aircraft missile over Jerusalem fired by the Syrian army.
