There is a great need for vocational training in Azerbaijan - President
“Vocational training should be widely scoped in Azerbaijan, there is a great need for this. The process of creating vocational training institutions is continuing, this process needs to be accelerated”, – Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said this in a closing speech at the republican meeting in Saatli region on the development of cotton growing, AzVision.az reports.
The head of state noted that this process should be associated with the overall development of the economy: “We plan economic development. Regional development programs are published. That is, we are developing a five-year plan of activity and the same time programs on industry, agriculture and other spheres show us the way. Therefore, professional training should be conducted in accordance with them. How many and in what directions should there be vocational training schools? There is a great need to create vocational training institutions, specialized in the fields of agriculture, industry and tourism, since these areas will continue to develop rapidly in Azerbaijan”.

President Ilham Aliyev noted the need for training of agricultural personnel: “As far as I know, there is a certain shortage here, we should involve young people in this sphere, stimulate them, so that they know that after attaining professionalism their living standards will significantly increase. Work in this direction was conducted last year, and will continue in the current year”.
