NATO says it sees stability in South Caucasus as priority
Ensuring stability in the South Caucasus is a priority for NATO, the President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Paolo Alli said at a meeting with Georgian Parliament Speaker Irakli Kobakhidze.
The meeting was held as part of the NATO PA spring session that kicks off in Georgia’s capital on Friday.

Reaffirming NATO’s support for Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic integration, Paolo Alli hailed Georgia’s important role in both regional and global security issues, an APA correspondent reported from Tbilisi.

Following the meeting, Kobakhidze told reporters that integration into Euro-Atlantic structures is one of Georgia’s priorities, expressing confidence that the fact that the NATO PA spring session is taking palce in Tbilisi will accelerate this process.

Paolo Alli, in turn, outlined the importance of issues to be discussed at the NATO PA, noting that the documents and recommendations will be important for all countries.

An Azerbaijani parliamentary delegation led by First Deputy Speaker Ziyafat Asgarov is taking part in the NATO PA spring session.
