Azerbaijan's candidate for UNESCO director-general visits Germany
Polad Bulbuloglu, a candidate from Azerbaijan for the post of UNESCO Director-General, paid a visit to Germany on June 21-23.
Bulbuloglu visited Germany to promote his program on UNESCO, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Germany told APA.

As part of his visit to Germany, Polad Bulbuloglu held meetings with Special Representative of the Federal Foreign Office for UNESCO World Heritage, Minister of State Maria Böhmer, Special Representative for German International Science, Education andResearch Policy and Foreign Cultural Policy at the Federal Foreign Office Heidrun Tempel, head of the Germany-South Caucasus Parliamentary Group of Bundestag Karin Strenz, her deputy Johannes Kars, head of the department on bilateral relations with the countries of Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe, as well as the countries of Central Asia and the South Caucasus in the Administration of the German Federal Chancellor Knut Abraham, head of the department on Global Affairs, UN and Development Policy Matias Lichartz.

During the meetings, Polad Bulbuloglu spoke about his views on the future activities of UNESCO, announcing his priorities if elected the organization’s director-general.

The sides also exchanged views on the German side's approach to the issues of UNESCO.
