The war conducted by Armenia against Azerbaijan by violating the norms and principles of international law and continuing the occupation of the Azerbaijani territories until today, not only violates the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan, but also seriously threatens peace and security in the region, says a joint statement of Foreign Ministry and Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan, issued July 26.
It is necessary to withdraw the Armenian troops from the occupied Azerbaijani territories in order to end the war and ensure peace and stability, says the joint statement.
