President Aliyev receives credentials of incoming Italian ambassador
President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Italy Augusto Massari.
The head of state then had a conversation with the ambassador, APA reports.

Hailing the successful development of the relations between Azerbaijan and Italy the president noted that the countries are partners in many fields, including political, economic, energy and other areas. The head of state said that the Joint Declaration on strategic partnership between the two countries which was adopted in 2014 in Rome reflects the level of our relations, and assessed it as a sign of the highest level of the cooperation. Besides, the president mentioned that there are many opportunities for further expansion of our partnership in various fields.

Noting that the political relations between Azerbaijan and Italy are at a high level, the president said that the work on the Southern Gas Corridor project continues successfully.
