Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev expressed his confidence the visit of the Turkish-Azerbaijani interparliamentary friendship group will contribute to the expansion of the relation between the two countries. Besides, President Aliyev highlighted that the meetings with his Turkish counterpart and bilateral visits play a significant role in strengthening the friendship relations and identifying new fields for cooperation. The head of state also pointed out that a number of important joint projects, including the inauguration of TANAP and Star Oil Refinery plant.
Turkish MP and the head of the Turkish-Azerbaijani interparliamentary friendship group Shamil Ayrim thanked President Ilham Aliyev for the reception and extended Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s greetings to the head of state. Shamil Ayrim noted that Azerbaijan gained prestige in the international arena and achieved rapid growth under the leadership of Ilham Aliyev. He also stressed that the Turkish-Azerbaijani interparliamentary friendship group will do its best to further strengthen the friendship and brotherhood ties between the two countries.
President Ilham Aliyev thanked for Recep Tayyip Erdogan`s greetings and asked him to extend his greetings to the Turkish President.
