  P&G Azerbaijan office becomes Regional Hub for Central Asian Republics

Procter & Gamble continues to celebrate its 20th year in Azerbaijan with its Europe Management Board visiting P&G Baku office.

Loic Tassel, P&G Europe President, visited Azerbaijan for the first time to meet with consumers, government officials, distributors and several business leaders to understand the Azeri business environment and opportunities.

Loic Tassel stated that he was impressed by the fast development and the economic potential offered by the country.

Loic Tassel shared that “Azerbaijan is important for P&G. We are proud to have served consumers in Azerbaijan for the last 20 years, and that we will be serving them for many years to come with our global brands such as Ariel, Fairy, Gillette, Pampers, Always. We are also happy to be able to give back to the communities in Azerbaijan via our corporate social responsibility programs such as Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA) partnership, Pampers Knowledgeable Mother, the Healthy Baby Hospital Program, Always Puberty School Education for teen girls, the Ariel clothes donation program, and many more. We are also proud of our employees based in P&G Baku office and our key partners such as our distributor, YOM (Engin Group company) which employs around 600 people in Azerbaijan. We are very impressed by their strong capability in technological advancement in warehousing and distribution systems which enables us to serve consumers better in the region”

Loic Tassel also announced the recent redesign of new P&G cluster; P&G Turkey and Central Asian Republics.  “I was honored to meet with President Aliyev in Davos in January and we had discussed P&G looking for further expansion opportunities for P&G in Baku. I wanted to come in person with the good news that we are expanding the scope of P&G Baku office to overlook the business growth in neighboring countries such as Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Mongolia.”

Mr. Tassel added: “After 20 years of sustained growth, this advancement shows the importance that we give to Azerbaijan and our commitment of serving consumers. We would also like to thank President Aliyev for the positive investment climate created in Azerbaijan.”
