'Azerkhalcha open joint stock company was established three years ago with my order. Our main task was to establish modern carpet weaving factories in regions of Azerbaijan. A lot of work has already been done in this direction,' the head of state noted during the opening ceremony.
'We plan to establish 31 carpet factories. I believe that other factories will be opened within few years. Azerbaijan will have taken an important step for keeping old Azerbaijani tradition of carpet weaving,' President Aliyev also added.
The factory in Gobustan has created 150 jobs. The majority of employees are women. It is an important step taken by the country for women. Women's employment is one of the most significant issues. The factory has been equipped with modern facilities.
