Commissioner Hahn is on a visit to Baku to attend the EU-Azerbaijan Business Forum.
Hahn reaffirmed EU’s support for Azerbaijan’s efforts to diversify economy.
“It think that Azerbaijan, in that respect, chose a very good path. For example, the ICT sector grew by 9 percent in Azerbaijan last year. We are ready to support Azerbaijan wherever it is possible,” he said.
As for the EU-Azerbaijan talks on a new partnership agreement, the commissioner said he hopes this comprehensive document will soon be signed.
“It [agreement] is very ambitious, and both parties want it to become realized. This agreement is one of the top priorities of the EU. The signing of this document will testify to the intensified cooperation between the EU and Azerbaijan,” Hahn added.
