1 dead, 15 wounded as vessel carrying LPG explodes in Izmir, Turkey - VIDEO

One person was killed and 15 others were wounded after a vessel carrying Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) in Izmir's Aliağa port was engulfed in flames after an explosion late Monday.

The vessel is reportedly carrying an Italian flag.

An explosion and a fire have occurred on a tanker in the port of the Petkim petrochemical complex in Aliaga of Turkey’s Izmir province, AzVision.az reports with reference to TRT.

Reportedly, the explosion has occurred during unloading liquid hydrocarbons from the vessel under the Italian flag, chartered by SOCAR Turkey.
