Azerbaijan sends letter of protest to UN Secretary-General

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan responded to the information published in the media regarding the spread of the report of the illegal separatist regime in Azerbaijan's occupied Nagorno Karabakh region in the UN.

According to the press service of Azerbaijani MFA, Armenian misused its membership right to the UN in their letter to the UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres attaching the statement of the illegal separatist regime in Azerbaijani territories which were occupied by the Armenian Armed Forces: "Armenia has repeatedly tried to spread the statements of the separatist regime via the UN and the OSCE. However, this does not reflect the position of these organisations."

“In response to the next provocation by Armenia within the UN, the Permanent Mission of our country to the UN sent a letter of protest addressed to the UN Secretary General, it will be published soon as an official document of the General Assembly and the UN Security Council,” the MFA said.
