President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev held a meeting with Fatih Birol, executive director of the International Energy Agency (IEA) in Munich on February 14, AzVision.az reports.
Fatih Birol highly evaluated President Ilham Aliyev's speech at the roundtable "Energy security" held within the Munich Security Conference.
"Azerbaijan is well-known as a reliable partner in the energy market. It is a result of President Ilham Aliyev's successful policy", Birol said.
The sides greatly appreciated the initiatives of Azerbaijan in OPEC+ format emphasizing measures taken towards the development of alternative energy resources. They also exchanged views over the current state of the energy market.
