The award ceremony was held in Moscow. The award was presented to Mikhail Gusman by Emil Nasirli, editor-in-chief of My Azerbaijan International Magazine.
“I was lucky enough to present you the golden order “Pride of Azerbaijan” established by My Azerbaijan International Magazine, on behalf of the Editorial Board and the staff of the magazine,” said editor-in-chief Emil Nasirli, adding that Mikhail Gusman is very popular with the audience all over the world and especially in Azerbaijan.
Emil Nasirli thanked Mikhail Solomonovich Gusman as an outstanding person and a brilliant professional for his great contribution to the expansion of Azerbaijani-Russian cultural ties, thereby contributing to the development and strengthening of friendly relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation.
“Russia’s capabilities and Azerbaijan’s aspirations open up wide opportunities for the development, expansion and deepening of economic relations between the two countries,” Emil Nasirli said.
Mikhail Gusman thanked My Azerbaijan International Magazine staff for the award presented to him and expressed hope for further strengthening of relations between Russia and Azerbaijan in the area of culture, economy and other ones.
The event was attended by Honorary Member of My Azerbaijan International Magazine, Rector of Moscow State University of Humanities and Economics Professor Vagif Bayramov, who mentioned that Azerbaijan-Russia relations are multifaceted and are developing dynamically at the bilateral, regional and international levels. Vagif Bayramov hailed Mikhail Gusman’s endless energy, dedication, broad erudition and high professionalism.
Mikhail Gusman is a Doctor of Political Science, the author of many scripts for television films and television programs, in particular, the author and host of “Formula of power” TV program.
In addition, Mikhail Gusman manages large-scale international projects: since 1999, as Executive Secretary of the World Association of Russian Press (WARP), since May 2000 as the Secretary-General of the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies. He is also Vice-President of the European Alliance of News Agencies (EANA), and the Russian representative to the UNESCO Intergovernmental Committee for Information and Communications.
