The Non-Aligned Movement member states do not recognize the so-called "elections" held in the Nagorno-Karabakh region of the Republic of Azerbaijan on March 31, 2020, and consider it illegal, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported citing the statement of the Coordinating Bureau of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) on the so-called "elections".

The Non-Aligned Movement, the second largest political platform after the UN and uniting 120 countries, called the acquisition of territories by force unacceptable stating that the situation after the occupation of the territories of Azerbaijan will not be legally recognized by any country.

In conclusion, referring to paragraph 662 of the Final Act of the Baku Summit, the Coordinating Bureau of the Non-Aligned Movement reiterated its support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan within its internationally recognized borders and the settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict on UN Security Council resolutions.
