Coronavirus cases in Azerbaijan rise to 1148, death toll reaches 12

Fifty more tested positive for coronavirus and one person died of coronavirus in Azerbaijan, AzVision.az reports citing the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers.

65-year-old coronavirus patient died at a hospital in Azerbaijan who tested positive for the COVID-19. Resuscitation measures to stabilize the patient's condition gave no result.

Currently, 1148 people with active phase of coronavirus are in special hospitals under the supervision of doctors in the country. The condition of twenty-five of them is severe, the condition of thirty patients is evaluated as moderately severe, and the health condition of others is stable. 289 of them discharged from the hospitals and 12 died. The necessary measures are underway for the medical treatment of the patients.

2,373 citizens are currently on quarantine in Azerbaijan over the coronavirus threat and relevant measures are being taken in our country to examine them.

Everyone must thoroughly observe the rules of hygiene, strictly adhere to the requirements and recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers to prevent the spread of coronavirus, said the headquarters.

Citizens must adhere to self-isolation measures. People must not leave houses unless absolutely necessary. It is also imperative to contactless with other people and not to visit crowded places.
