 Coronavirus cases in Azerbaijan rise to 3518, 143 recovered

One hundred thirty-one more tested positive for coronavirus and one hundred forty-three people recovered from COVID-19 in Azerbaijan, AzVision.az reports citing the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers.

71-year-old coronavirus patient, who had a medical history of myocardial ischemia, liver failure and kidney failure, died at a hospital in Azerbaijan who tested positive for the COVID-19. Resuscitation measures to stabilize the patient's condition gave no result.

Currently, 3518 people with active phase of coronavirus are in special hospitals under the supervision of doctors in the country. The condition of forty-one of them is severe, the condition of fifty-nine patients is evaluated as moderately severe, and the health condition of others is stable. 2198 patients were discharged from the hospitals and 41 died. The necessary measures are underway for the medical treatment of the patients.

Everyone must thoroughly observe the rules of hygiene, strictly adhere to the requirements and recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers to prevent the spread of coronavirus, said the headquarters.

Citizens must adhere to self-isolation measures. People must not leave houses unless absolutely necessary. It is also imperative to contactless with other people and not to visit crowded places.
