Azerbaijan’s Prosecutor General’s Office makes statement on Armenia’s provocation

Azerbaijan’s Prosecutor General’s Office has made a statement on Armenia’s provocation against Azerbaijan, AzVision.az reports.

Once again demonstrating its violent and terrorist nature, Armenia fired artillery at civilian areas, killed and injured several Azerbaijani servicemen and others.

As a result of the Armenian aggression, several Azerbaijani servicemen martyred and others injured, including a resident of the Aghdam village in Tovuz region. The Armenian side caused a serious damage to civilians.

With such provocative actions, the occupant Armenia has openly violated the fundamental norms and principles of the international law against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan by creating escalation.

War crimes committed by Armenia against the civilian population of Azerbaijan are being registered and documented by the investigation group currently operating at the scene.

Military Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan has launched a criminal case under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code. The investigation is underway to collect relevant evidence of crimes against humanity committed by Armenia.
