Azerbaijani official: Armenia’s two SU-25 fighters explode after crashing into mountain

The statements that an F-16 fighter of the Turkish Armed Forces allegedly shot down Armenia’s Su-25 aircraft are absurd and yet another disinformation, Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Head of the Foreign Affairs Policy Department of the Presidential Administration, told APA.

According to the information obtained by the Azerbaijani side, two Su-25 fighters took off on the territory of Armenia on September 29, Hajiyev said.

“Both planes crashed into the mountain and exploded. This suggests that Armenia’s leadership keeps spreading disinformation. It will be good for the Armenian military leadership to report the second plane and its pilot, rather than blaming other parties,” the official added.
