  EU’s Borrell calls for end to fighting between Armenia, Azerbaijan

The current situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone is extremely worrying, Josep Borrell, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy said at a meeting of the European Parliament, AzVision.az reports.

“Our position is clear: the fighting must stop. Both sides need to re-engage in meaningful negotiations – which, by the way, have not been very fruitful in the last 30 years - without preconditions, under the auspices of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs,” he said.

Borrell stressed that there can be no military solution to the conflict, nor external interference.
