Turkey's Grand National Assembly Speaker visits Alley of Honors

Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Mustafa Sentop visited the Alley of Honors in Baku on October 19 to pay tribute to the memory of the nationwide leader of Azerbaijan and founder of our modern independent state Heydar Aliyev and laid a wreath at his tomb.

Mustafa Sentop also laid flowers at grave of the renowned ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva, state figure Aziz Aliyev and Professor Tamerlan Aliyev.

Then the guest laid a wreath at the Eternal Torch monument in the Alley of Martyrs to honor the heroic sons of the Motherland who sacrificed their lives for freedom and territorial integrity of our country. Mustafa Sentop, who watched the view of the Azerbaijani capital from the highest point of Baku, was informed about the history of the Alley of Martyrs and the landscaping work carried out in our capital.

The speaker of the Turkish parliament also put a wreath at the monument to the heroic Turkish soldiers in the Alley of Martyrs. Mustafa Sentop wrote his heartfelt words in the memory book.
