Yıldırım said that Turkey has always stood by Azerbaijan in its justice struggle, and is still with it today:
"The Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States was established in Nakhchivan in 2009. Mustafa Kemal Ataturk called Nakhchivan the Gate of Turk, it unites Turkish geography with Anadolu. We are very proud of the development of Azerbaijan. The purpose of today's visit is to express our solidarity. The approval the Kars-Nakhchivan railway and gas pipeline project during this year's meeting of the Turkish-Azerbaijani High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council has a great importance.
Turkey will continue to stand by Azerbaijan and Nakhchivan."
