Ismayilov said only one mosque – Yukhari Govhar Agha Mosque in Shusha – was purposefully preserved by the Armenians and it was slightly repaired.
He noted that there are three main points in Armenia’s policy towards Azerbaijan’s religious monuments –appropriation, alienation and destruction of religious-historical monuments.
The deputy chairman added that in any case, all historical-religious monuments, including mosques and Albanian churches, destroyed by the Armenians in the Azerbaijani lands will be restored.
"The Azerbaijani state will do everything possible in this regard. First, our territories must be cleared of mines, security must be ensured, and then, along with the restoration of our historical monuments, our mosques will also be rebuilt,” Ismayilov said.
