 ANAMA’s demolition team neutralized 64 pieces of mines and unexploded ordnances

On 26-29 November, 2020 ANAMA received 49 (forty nine) emergency calls from the ″102″ Service Call Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and 4 (four) calls from the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations about shells falling on the territory of Agjabadi, Aghdam, Barda, Fuzuli and Tartar regions, director of ANAMA Gazanfar Ahmadov said.

As response action to the reported 53 emergency calls ANAMA in close coordination with the specialists of the Ministry of Internal Affairs conducted 47 emergency and operational clearance field missions. As reported 19 pieces of unexploded ordnance, 48 pieces of anti-tank mines,  59  pieces of anti-personnel mine, 5 pieces  of anti-tank mine fuses,  and  48 exploded shell remnants were found as a result of mission.

Mines and unexploded ordnance (UXO) clearance operation is ongoing alongside the road connecting Tartar region to Sugovushan village and 76 anti-tank mines, 118 anti-personnel mines, 6 unexploded ordnance (UXO) (total: 206 units) were found and neutralized.

ANAMA’s demolition team neutralized 64 pieces of mines and unexploded ordnances. Explosive Remnants Awareness Specialists conducted explosive remnants risk awareness campaign among 80 141 civilians.
