We have discussed purchasing vaccines in several stages.
The statement came from a member of the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministersof Azerbaijan, head of Department of TABIB, Yagut Garayeva.
"Now it seems more realistic to import vaccines from Turkey, " Garayeva said.
"We have also signed an agreement with GAVI (Global Alliance for Vaccines). We will get enough vaccines from GAVI to be able to vaccinate 10 percent of our population. What vaccines will be given to us by GAVI? We do not have information about this yet. Accessibility is a matter of time. We expect GAVI vaccines in April, when the winter will be over. Vaccination has started in European countries. We also want to be among those countries. I am sure that there will be more options in future, "Garayeva said.
