 ANAMA continues search operations in frontline regions -  PHOTO

On 20-21 January, 2021 ANAMA (Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action) received 7 (seven) emergency calls from the ′′102 ′′Service Call Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and 1 (one) call from the State Border Service on artillery projectiles detected in Beylagan, Gubadli, Terter, Tovuz and Zengilan regions, AzVision.az reports citing ANAMA. 

During the search operations 13 543 669 sq.m (1 354 hectares), more than 117 km of roadswere cleared of mines and unexploded ordnance, 282 buildings were inspected.
On the special emergency clearance operations executed along the frontline territory by ANAMA

As response action to the reported 8 emergency calls ANAMA in close cooperation with the specialists of the Ministry of Internal Affairs conducted 8 emergency and operational clearance field missions. As reported 124 pieces of unexploded ordnance, 7 pieces ofanti-personnel mines, 3 pieces of anti-tank mines for training purposes, 197 pieces of small munitions of different caliber, 23 pieces of artillery shell fuses, and 2 pieces of exploded shell remnants were found as a result of missions.

ANAMA’s Explosive Ordnance Risk Education Specialists conducted risk awarenesssessions among 97 398 civilians.
