Opening of Monitoring Center is new stage in peacekeeping activities - Alexander Fomin

The opening of the Russia-Turkey Joint Monitoring Center is a new stage in our peacekeeping activities. We have a great positive experience in the field of interaction with the Republic of Turkey and the Turkish army, Russian Deputy Minister of Defense Alexander Fomin said at the inauguration of the Joint Turkish-Russian Monitoring Center in Agdam.

The establishment of the Joint Monitoring Center for Ceasefire Control serves the close cooperation of the Defense Ministries of Russia and Turkey and the creation of favorable conditions for a stable peace in the region. Azerbaijan, under the direct leadership of the president, has done a lot to create this beautiful center and equip it with the necessary equipment. This is a fundamentally new stage in our peacekeeping operations, Alexander Fomin stated.

Noting that Russia has a great positive experience in interacting with Turkey, Alexander Fomin pointed out that mutual cooperation in the process of solving the conflict in Syria is a good example.

Addressing both the Russian and Turkish army, Alexander Fomin emphasized:

"Now it is up to you to see how quickly and reliably all necessary measures are taken to establish peace in these lands.
