Joint Turkish-Russian monitoring center in Karabakh will contribute to peace – defense minister

Turkey’s National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar held a virtual meeting with the participation of Chief of the country’s General Staff Yasar Guler and other army commanders.

The meeting was also joined by a Turkish general who is heading the country’s troops at the newly-launched joint Turkish-Russian ceasefire monitoring center in Karabakh, AzVision.az reports.

Giving several instructions, Minister Akar said the joint center will fulfill important tasks.

“The joint Turkish-Russian ceasefire monitoring center in Karabakh has recently started operating. The center will contribute to the continuation of the ceasefire, stability and peace in the region. We want this. Turkey’s president has spoken about this many times. These issues were also discussed with the Azerbaijan and Russian leaders. We want peace and stability to reign in the region,” he added.
