Dismissing the reports, the Defense Ministry told AzVision.az that according to preliminary information, soldier Sahman Musayev, who had served in a military unit in Aghdam, died in the morning of Feb. 27 as a result of the violation of security rules.
A criminal case has been initiated on the incident.
The ministry’s leadership offered deep condolences to the relatives of the deceased serviceman.
The ministry once again called on the media not to disseminate unconfirmed information.
