Ten more seriously wounded Azerbaijani war veterans have been sent to Turkey for treatment with the support of YASHAT Foundation.

Taking into account the medical report, the process of examination, treatment and rehabilitation of the war veterans – Gulu Aghashov, Nurlan Taghiyev, Gismat Hashimov, Bakhtiyar Hasanov, Habib Namazov, Royal Karimov, Elshan Khanaliyev, Ali Aliyev, Khayyam Ahmadov and Shamsi Mammadov – will continue in Turkey, AzVision.az reports.

The Foundation will monitor the treatment of the veterans until it is completed.

To date, some 23 war veterans have been sent to Turkey for treatment with the support of the YASHAT Foundation.

On 8 December 2020, President Ilham Aliyev signed an order on the establishment of the YASHAT Foundation in order to support the war-wounded and families of martyrs who protected the territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Under the presidential order, the funds of the Foundation are formed through voluntary financial assistance (donations) provided by citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijanis living abroad, other individuals and legal entities, as well as other sources not prohibited by law.
