The Joint Turkish-Russian Monitoring Center, which was launched on January 30, 2021 to control the ceasefire in the liberated Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan, continues its work to ensure lasting ceasefire, peace and stability, Turkey’s National Defense Ministry said on Tuesday, AzVision.az reports.

In order to provide support the Azerbaijani army in the liberated districts, 2 Special Mine Search and Cleaning units carry out mine search and neutralization activities in Aghdam and Jabrayil, the ministry said, adding. “Training continues with Turkish Handmade Explosives Detection and Destruction and Explosive Material Discovery and Destruction teams.”

Within the scope of the Production and Delivery of Mechanical Mine Clearing Equipment (MEMATT) Project signed between Turkey and Azerbaijan, the first batch of 20 vehicles was sent to Azerbaijan to be used in clearing the lands from mines and unexploded ammunition.

The ministry recalled that within the framework of bilateral military relations with friendly and brotherly Azerbaijan, two joint exercises were successfully held in 2020 and "Winter-2021" in 2021 with the participation of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces.

"We will continue to stand by our Azerbaijani brothers, we have been together in happy and sad days, with the concept of "one nation, two states,” it added
