  OSCE chair says ‘situation in region changed’

The situation in the region has changed, OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Swedish Foreign Minister Ann Linde said at a joint press conference with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov in Baku on Monday, AzVision.az reports.

Linde welcomed the statements by the Azerbaijani, Armenian and Russian leaders regarding a ceasefire in Karabakh.

The OSCE chair also underscored the need for a long-term solution to the conflict.

Naming Sweden’s main priorities during its OSCE Chairmanship, Linde said the country aims to protect the security system in Europe and support a comprehensive security concept.

Linde also reiterated her support for the OSCE Minsk Group.
