At Nakhchivan International Airport, President Ilham Aliyev was welcomed by chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov.

As part of his visit, the head of state participated in a presentation of a new runway at Nakhchivan International Airport.

He was informed of the runway-related works.

Later on, President, Victorious Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev participated in the inauguration of a military aerodrome of the Special Combined Arms Army in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

Commander of the Special Combined Arms Army, Colonel-General Karam Mustafayev reported to the head of state.

Vasif Talibov informed the president of the work done.

President Aliyev then visited a statue of national leader Heydar Aliyev in the center of the city of Nakhchivan.

The head of state put flowers at the statue, paid tribute to the national leader.

As part of his visit, the Azerbaijani leader also viewed the construction of the building of “ASAN xidmət” Center in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

Vasif Talibov informed the head of state of the work done.

President Aliyev then participated in the opening of the Nakhchivan branch of “Azerkhalcha” Open Joint-Stock Company, the Nakhchivan Garrison Central Hospital and the Artificial Insemination Center.

Later on, the Azerbaijani leader participated in the opening of the Julfa-Ordubad highway and viewed the construction of the Ordubad Hydroelectric Power Plant.

During the visit, President Aliyev also attended the launch of “Reconstruction of drinking water supply and sewerage systems in Ordubad district center and surrounding villages” project.

Vasif Talibov informed the head of state of the project.

President Aliyev met with members of the public.

The head of state made a speech at the meeting.

The president then put flowers at a bust of national leader Heydar Aliyev in the city of Ordubad.

The head of state also viewed the work carried out at the Ordubad railway station.

Vasif Talibov informed President Aliyev of the railway station.
