Turkey to discuss Karabakh issue at meeting of National Security Council 

On June 2, the meeting of the Turkish National Security Council, which is chaired by the President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, kicked off, AzVision.az reports.

The meeting participants will discuss the issues on the activities of the Turkish-Russian Joint Monitoring Center, located in the Aghdam District of Azerbaijan and monitor the ceasefire in the Nagorno-Karabakh region.

Besides, the meeting will cover the discussions over the activities of the Turkish Armed Forces in Libya and Syria as well as the Pence operation against terrorists in northern Iraq, the Cyprus issue, the situation in the Aegean and the Mediterranean, the fight against terrorism and other strategic issues.

The Securit Council’s meeting will also touch on the role of the Turkish military in the alliance as on June 14, Brussels will host a summit of NATO member state.
