Azerbaijan launches new campaign to support martyrs’ families, war veterans

Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population is launching “Employment Marathon”, a new campaign in order to encourage more active participation of employers in providing employment for the families of martyrs and servicemen wounded during the Patriotic War, Deputy Minister Anar Aliyev said on Thursday, AzVision.az reports.

The deputy minister said the Azerbaijani state is taking large-scale measures to provide social support to the families of martyrs and war veterans who achieved a glorious victory in the 44-day Patriotic War.

More than 23,000 people have received social support during the post-war period. In recent months, over 6,400 members of martyrs’ families and war veterans have been involved in active employment programs. Of those, about 5,000 people were supported in creating small businesses within the self-employment program.

Any employee wishing to join the marathon can place existing vacancies by following the link dma.gov.az/layiheler/mesgulluq-marafonu.
