Agenda for Turkish president’s visit to Azerbaijan unveiled

Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will pay an official visit to Azerbaijan on June 15-16.

During the visit, Erdogan will hold meetings with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in the liberated Shusha city, during which the parties will focus on all aspects of Ankara-Baku ties and discuss opportunities for further deepening bilateral cooperation, AzVision.az reports citing Turkish media.

The heads of state are also scheduled to watch EURO 2020 group match between Turkey and Wales to be held in Baku on June 16.

“This time I will visit the lands where the Victory was gained. Together with my brother Ilham Aliyev, I will go to Shusha, the cultural capital of Azerbaijan and the hometown of historical figures of the Turkic world. We will hold bilateral meetings in Shusha to discuss opportunities for further deepening our cooperation. On June 16, we will watch Turkish national team’s group match against Wales at EURO 2020 in Baku,” Erdogan told journalists ahead of his Brussels visit for the NATO summit.
